Interview 1.  (the purpose of this interview is to find out what learners think about reading in English before the exposure to Extensive reading activities).

Research questions

Þ    What are students’ perceptions about the implementation of extensive reading in the EFL classroom?

Þ    What is the impact of implementing extensive reading activities in the foreign language classroom?

Þ    What does it take to design and implement extensive reading activities within English as a foreign language classroom?

Rationale

The purpose of the next interview is to provide important information for a research project about reading in English. The name of the project is “Promoting Extensive Reading through the implementation of extensive reading activities in the EFL Classroom,” and the specific objective of this interview is to know what learners think about reading and reading in English. When answering this interview, be as realistic and objective as possible. The information gathered through this interview is completely confidential and will be used specifically for academic purposes. The identity of the people taking this interview will not be revealed because of ethical considerations.
